Kandinsky and woodcuts

Kandinsky spent his summer in Kalmunz, where he began to learn more about woodcuts where he has followed the Japanese techniques that how to do the woodcuts, like they cut two blocks and printing the colors and lines alone, and also Kandsinky was different in this point he use watercolor instead of oil colors on the wood.

When Kandinsky had spent a year in Paris he published so many woodcuts and he named them Xylographic.
